First of all, I would like to thank all who responded to my question on Autocad. I think I'll just buy the plans! Canoes I'll draw, kayaks,I'll buy. For the past 3 yrs I've been slowly massing a tool collection for the sole purpose of building a boat. Also I have damn near every book on the subject! The Wee Lassie is my frist project. I think it would be a good "get your feet wet" project. Now for the questions. These are not just questions about that boat.
1) Has anyone made the Chinook out of the back of Canoe & Kayak magazine?
How does it compare to the Great Auk?
How would I set up the forms so that I could build it like the Guillemot? (i.e) so deck And hull forms are one.
2) On building the Wee Lassie, what is the corract bevel on the stems? I have Canoe craft. Should I use that as a guide?
3) Do most people make deck hathes? I found a place for plastic deck plates which I plan to use on the Wee Lassie. Any good ideas?
As you can tell, I'm hooked. Lastly, I can get any of the above mentioned boats out of a 28"X15" window right? Right? I'll tear out the window frame if I have to! I don't care, I want to build! Thanks, Todd
