Hi Will,

I've been recommending the Garmin units to folks. The reason is there is more freeware software supporting the Garmin than the other units. I've had problems with the battery compartment getting damp like everyone else though. More my fault for having it on deck when rolling and not in a dry bag. Other than that, its been a great gadget.

The model I use is a Garmin GPS III+. Uploadable maps from my PC. Expensive, but it gets me to the launch site and back.

Woody
