One of the other traits of epoxy over polyester not mentioned is flexability. If you pour a puddle of epoxy and polyester and test them, the epoxy will bed almost end to end. The polyester is britle and will immediatly crack. This is how the adhesion property of epoxy remains superior. The polyester will not give and break away when wood flexes.

Even the simplest stitch and glue takes many hours of time and care. Sell your dining room table and get the epoxy.
