The Tern was a blast to build. It took me a little longer than the 50-70 hours they said in the instructions, but it was my first boat and I had a very small workspace. The boat seems a little more tippy initially than my Hydra Sea Runner (plastic pig), but it's quicker, glides longer and carves turns better. The only downside is the longer launch times as you're repeatedly asked if you built it yourself, where'd you get it, etc. It was fun at first, but...

Loaning out my Tern would be torture, but you're welcome to stop by in Santa Cruz and check it out...
