No doubt about it. VCP's are overpriced. No more so than a $85 gallon of epoxy. they don't leak - something that's unusual in hatches. They were the first to do it. 7 years ago I built a Ches. 17. I used Viking hatches. Like the Becksons but they have a cam and lever and are water tight and cheap. I don't know if they're still in existance. They were in California. You can try searching.
