Thanks Tammy for the waking call! After reading all the postings and despite all the good ideas (particularly Paul's one) I think that the savings do not justify all the trouble and potential mess. Especially, if as some postings suggested I can get away with a lighter tape (i.e., 2 layers of 3" of 6oz tape for example).
