Hi Tom, I think you have a great idea here............ I have been getting Mac McCarthy's Wee Lassie newsletter for a couple of years. Recently there was an article about a high school shop class in FL that built a Wee Lassie from Mac's plans. They donated the boat to the annual shcool auction fund raiser.....the boat sold for $8,000!...way beyond their wildest expectations, I'd say! Needless to say, they decided to do this as an annual project. Maybe builders with excess supplies could approach their local schools or community programs about the possibilities of doing something like this....maybe even donate some of your expertise and advice in the process. Logistically, I would suspect that the shipping costs for shipping long strips would be kind of expensive....you could probably help buy some resin or a little glass for a local project for the cost of shipping your excess material somewhere. Just a thought?..... gar
