Doug,

I agree with everthing Dave said. The intial stability is better on the Coho, but secondary is better on the Tern. This seems only to be an issue at first, because once I started paddling the Tern some I got used to it's tippiness. The Tern is also probably the better of the two in big water, the upswept bow and stern are great in the waves, it is very hard to get wet in it. The Coho may is supposed to be faster, but I could not tell the difference. The Tern carves crisper sharper turns, but not by much. It is also does not weathercock at all while the Coho does ever so slightly. Both are great kayaks, but I prefer the Tern. It suits my needs better and I think it is better looking.
