I had no boat building experience also when I wanted to build a kayak. I bought a North Bay kit from CLC. It came with a good manual and most of the material I needed to build the boat. It was a great way for me to learn about boatbuilding and end up with a decent kayak. I put up a web site to show the process I went through to build m North Bay. http://pages.cthome.net/bobbycurtis/index.htm Since then I have got the boatbuilding bug.
