The little rubberized cutting board is a bit small and tedious. As mentioned, I have used an 8' scrap of sheetrock, but any smooth and not too hard surface should word, such plywood or a softwood board (I even did some on the living room floor after I had removed the carpeting to redo the floor. Just the excuse to rip up the house 8>). More plys would probably work if you had a large enough surface to lay them out on so you didn't have to move them around too much. Hey! perhaps the living room floor........
