Doug, It's pretty certain you wont go wrong with either boat. I cant comment on the Tern but I have been paddling a Coho for two seasons. I really like this boat and use it to judge commercial boats I paddle at paddle Fests. You have to paddle the Coho a lot to know how much "edge" she will take. My first season I was a bit timid on leaning but as time went on I have learned to be VERY aggresive with turns. One thing you should consider, Not everybody likes hard chined boats. Have you paddled other hard chined kayaks?

Larry
