Ken, I beleive that John Gardner's book, "Building Clasic Small Craft" has plans for oars. I made a pair about 15 years back and loved them. I seem to recall that he gives credit for the design to Pete Culler who also wrote a book that I can't recall the name of. I hope that this helps;. Bob
