I think that's where I got the idea to try a block plane. For the next one, I hope to put in a screw depth-adjustment and maybe the blade angle adjustment. Re: meeting other contributors-- I met Pete Rudie, Pete Roszyk, and Ed Valley this summer when I was in Seattle paddling this summer. I hope to make the 2nd Annual West Coast Wood Canoe/Kayak Builder's Rendezvous--I guess Joe Greenley, Dale Frolander, Mike Hanks, and some other people were there this year.
