Well, one reason might be the deck profiles. For a given deck height and width, the prismatic Pygmy deck encloses less volume that the curved CLC deck. Also the CLC deck being one, unbroken expanse, might give the optical illusion of being broader that the segmented Pygmy deck. Remember, vertical stripes make you look taller and thinner.
