Thank you for your advice, it is probably a good idea to paddle a few more boats before i jump into building one, but i am getting anxious to get started on a boat...especially with winter coming on. The Guillemot is a great looking boat and i don't think i have read anything negative about it on this message board. The size is the only thing that i was concerned about, but it sounds like you have that problem taken care of with your newly designed 18'. Again, thank you for your help.
