paddle ferrules? Or: gotta joint?

Posted by: Doug on December 2, 1999

I have some nice, light, 'experienced' 106" (yes, 270cm) Folboat take-apart paddles that I would like to refurb a bit, reshape the blades, and shorten. The joint is brass and definitely needs to go. Does anyone know of where I can get the joint pieces (I think they are called ferrules)?

The blades are nice, spooned, and I'd like to keep them in service, but they are just toooo long for the Coho I'm going to build.
