Hi Dean,

Something you might want to try is powdered blue chalk. (The type that is used to fill a chalk line) I lightly dusted the whole hull and then ran a stiff fairing sander over it, say hello to all the low spots. (Do make sure to remove all chalk before glassing, It would probably make weird blue spots)

Fairing is a major pain, but if it isn't done right you'll kick yourself for hurrying.
