Keep the tips coming! Especially clamping tips. What may seem obvious to one person can save someone else a lot of head scratching. I have had a lot of problems clamping my Little Auk and it is a relatively simple design.
The Little Auk is practice for the real kayak which will probably be a Guillemot 17. I am using lots of staples on the Auk but want to eliminate most of them on the Guillemot.
My biggest problem has been getting the strips to stay up against the end forms. This may be because the Little Auk is sort of short and fat so the curve is fairly pronounced. The best solution I have come up with yet is an external frame that lets me apply pressure to the hull side below the strip I am adding.
