Simple Steamer

Posted by: mike allen on December 13, 1999

Hey Jack,

I just bought a 2nd hand elec steam kettle for $6, duct taped the end of 6feet of 150 (170? I forget) deg F flexible pvc (2"diam) to the spout. (The lower temp pvc (150?) doesn work at all (spaghetti and falls apart)). Stuff a rag in the end.

Cheap, light, folds up good and compact, follows curves, can play around w/ bending as you steam.

I'm not familiar w/ the boat you're making but maybe a modification of this would work. Longer or shorter, bigger or smaller diam. I like it b/c it's so quick and compact.
