Re: Glassing the hull and deck

Posted by: Chris in Cajun Country on December 15, 1999

I just glassed the hull of my AT this weekend. The other posts are right. Liberally spread and roll out the epoxy, followed by the squegee on the first wet-out only. Then use a roller to apply the next to fill coats, smoothing out the epoxy, and breaking the bubbles with several 1 - 2 " foam brushes. Follow the Pigmy instructions to a "T", especially on the bow and stern cut'n'fold procedure. Get help in laying out and stretching the glass. It makes a big difference. Good Luck
