'Tis true, we are supposed to keep our wood dry. But holes and leaks do happen, and it's been a pretty hefty source of discussion (and disagreement) on the dangers and problems of wet wood, rot, delamination, structural integrity and such.
If after stripping a hull, or stitching one, a person could brush it down with anti-freeze and not change the look, or affect epoxy adhesion, then the gain in rot resistance would be worthwhile I'd think.
