Birder I and Birder II

Along the same lines, B & B Yacht Designs have plans for a single and a tandem open cockpit kayak which use this folded or butterfly technique. It looks as if the hull bottom ends up more rounded than most stich and glues.

Does anyone have any experience with these boats? Obvious questions are ease of building and stability and seaworthiness.
