Re: Stitch & Glue = "Folded" ?

Posted by: Rick Dery on December 16, 1999

Fred I'm building the "Sunset" canoe from Stillwater boats. A stitch & glue boat but not like the CLC boats I've built. If the Sweetdream is done like this one, plan on spending more than a few weekends to do it. This boat has plywood (3mm) bent over two frames with verticle cuts in the ply to help it take the shape. It is also built in halves. Then stitched together. I just glassed the hull last night, two hours worth. I wish you luck with the Sweetdream. CLC also has canoes too. Rick
