what measuring cup are talking about ? do mean those plastic cups with oz or cc scale on them ? what for ? I never had a burping problem with the pumps & epoxy I got in my pygmy kit, but on the other hand, I never trusted the pumps. I just used empty 35mm film canisters cut to the desired height. for the large quantities, like when saturating the hull/deck, I used a 20 oz plastic bottle of some kind of soft drink, that I cut to the desired height. a wonderful place to get lots of such bottles is the dumpster.
once I had my cup I filled it twice from the clear stuff, once from the wee stuff, & mix everything in a different container. can't go wrong.
never bothered to keep the plastics for to long. the dumpster is still there.
make sure the neighbours are not watching when you dig into your dumpster.
about the football, I have no idea, I'm a stitcher & never heard of it. when my kayak will break (& it will !) I'll fix it, but until then, it's will be lighter .
