Hi Doug, advice about building in a tight space? If you can have a 2'x16' (split cheap plywood sheet) table with about 2ft on each side you've got all the space needed underneath and above. it's nice to have an epoxy station (or box that all the drippy spouts can drip into),you can pull it out when needed. the cardboard that the kit came in can be used to save the floor from solid epoxy drips,,,,lots and lots of gloves,if the garage doesn't have good air then a carbon respirator is a very good idea. $70 random orbital sander. my bias is against fuel heaters, try electric or lamps or "tent" the boat. Anything Mike Scarborough says is worth listening to. This is fun,ask ,ask ask. -lee
