I'm assuming you arer talking plywood, I wouldn't consider a stripper without glass. If you use 1/4 in plywood you would probably do ok. If you are on a budget, I might be able to help. I'm building a plywood Walrus 17 for under $125. I used luan coated in Raka glass(3.25 oz.) and epoxy.

The cheapest cloth I found was at Raka. But others are saying you can find it cheaper elsewhere.
