Bob,
The easiest way is to get software for creating a screensaver and then use your own images. If you don't have a scanner or know someone who does, there are lots of places where you can have a slide or print scanned for about $5 or less.
I am using a shareware product called Screen Paver and am very pleased with it. Other than a splash screen, the unregistered version is fully functional, but the registration fee is only $10. Since I like the product, I was happy to pay that fee.
