As stated by others, strippers must have cloth, S&G can be with or without. To answer your question in another way (in technical terms), encapsulation without cloth adds VERY LITTLE strength. A properly applied cloth/epoxy sheath adds A LOT of strength. The best way to determine the difference (since all of our skills and materials differ) is to do some test panels.
