Wood thickness

Posted by: Jason on December 20, 1999

On my strippers I have used both 1/4 inch and 3/16 inch thick strips. I am wondering what others prefer?

Personally I like 3/16" thick strips. I think that they twist and bend to their new form better. What do you like, and why?

I got some 3/16" for my last boat, and I decided that I liked them so much I have no intentions to go back to the 1/4". With 1/4" strips I have to use more cheater strips, why shave them down when you don't have to.
