George,

What thickness of wood (cedar) with what glass thickness/weight will give us a suitable match to the plywood, for stiffness? Assume a 4mm plywood, as it seems to be the standard for S&G. Would this differ by much if we looked at both the marine plywood as well as the cheaper lauan?

With your paddle blades, are they 'flat' as opposed to scooped/spooned? Glassed? How do you make the shaft? I hope that I'm not asking you to divulge any 'trade secrets' ;)

Thanks, and to you and everyone else on the BBS, wishes for a Happy and Safe holiday season!
