Check out the various web sites. Look for something that you like the looks of. Try to find someone who has that kayak that lives near you, paddle it if you can. Paddle as many kayaks as you can. Hang out on this BBS. You'll figure it out. Redfish kayaks has a builders directory on their site. you might be able to find someone close by who has a kayak you might be interested in. Attend any Rendezvous that you can find.
