Trailer/Cart

Posted by: Brent on December 30, 1999

I recall seeing some photos on this site a while back of a center-mount trailer/cart for pulling a kayak behind a bike or just getting it to the water. I tried the archive but perhaps did not use the technology just right. I scrounged a great pair of very light wheels from a wheelchair that have a nice quick release button in the center. (Don't worry, there is not an immobile wheelchair user out freezing somewhere!) Although they are too large a diameter (22") to make a stow-able unit, these would be perfect for a trailer. I am also wondering about the pro's and con's of using a trailer tongue or depending on the structure of my boat and just attaching the end of the boat to my bike. Thoughts? Thanks.
