Step One Complete

Posted by: craig ward on January 1, 2000

I have just finished gluing the hull panels and the sheer clamps on my Chesapeake 18 (an SUV to some but I'm an SUV sized guy) and wanted to thank this Board and all participants for the invaluable assistance. This is my first boat and even with a kit there are many possible pitfalls for the novice. I had many questions prior to starting and they have all been answered somewhere on this board. Garage heating info was especially helpful (using 23K BTU kerosene - works great raising temp in 12 by 25 insulated space by 40 degrees - plenty for mild Maryland winter temps). I'm sure I will have questions or problems along the way and will call for help. Thanks!
