Artic Tern butt joints

Posted by: Mark Lang on January 1, 2000

Just beginning to butt joint the deck panels on an Artic Tern and was wondering if it was absolutely necessary to tape the butt joints on the outside of the panels. I have very tight seams and would like to keep the joints as clean and simple as possible on the outside of the deck especially. Do I risk structural weakness in the final product? Any response is appreciated. Great web site!!
