Re: Stapleless Construction

Posted by: Jim Richardson on January 2, 2000

You can use short pieces of strips stapled to the forms as clamps. (I am assuming you are using cove and bead strips) I stapled the sheer strips and tried to go stapleless but quickly found the additional aggravation of trying to get the strips to stay in place not worth the effort and I resorted not only to staples but to a power stapler. On the deck I did without the staples but for any of the areas with much twist or bend the staples (or brads) were the best.
