Building Outdoors

Posted by: John Leonard on January 5, 2000

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience or insight into problems of strip building out of doors. I built a S&G boat(CLC North Bay) outside last winter. I covered the work with a tarp and used a rapid cure epoxy. I had no real problems and really enjoyed working outside (inside isnt really an option for me). I have the itch to build again but want to try a stripper this time. My concern is the expanding and contracting of the wood with changes in temperature and humidity. If anyone has any experience with this I would love to hear any insight or opinions. Thanks, John
