The sheer strip was the only strip I attached to the forms (brads). I used spring clamps to hold a newly laid strip tight to the previously laid strip until the glue set. Bungies wrapped around each station held the strips tight against the forms. When I was working up from the sheer, (strips stacking vertically), bungies suspending a weight provided downward clamping pressure. I haven't heard anyone using bungies - they work great!
