Millennium Buzzard

This is the boat that started it all for the Glastonbury group of raft racers. The original Millennium Buzzard was built by a group of high school friends. It has evolved over the years to become a work of art (If you can call a boat that sucks up river water like a black hole on Jolt art.) Matt Layden is primarily responsible for the design. Adm. Andy Layden (Ret.) is filling in the History.

Particulars:

• Length: approximately 24 feet depending on how it was assembled that year.
• Weight: Ooof. More when filled with water.
• Hull Construction: A material formerly known as Plywood over frames
• Deck Construction: Plywood, Chicken Wire, Decomposing Wood
• Propulsion: 4 to 8 sliding seat oars, 0 to 10 canoe paddles
