In 1989 Todd Brown conceived of the idea of having all the rafts from Glastonbury, Connecticut compete to win the Glastonbury Cup. He was building a new raft and figured to be a shoe-in to win.
Perry Dickau and I were also working on a new raft, the Triceratops and had no intention of coming in second to Todd. We didn't and we still haven't. In 1993 we didn't enter so Steve Layden with Agony of the Fleet took possession of the Cup. In 1994 we didn't enter and the Buzzard took the cup.
