Triceratops

After combining the Intrepid with the Buzzard for a few years, we decided to make a raft that could win the entire race not just a given class. To this end we built Triceratops

She has not been raced in two years. Two years ago there was a marriage in the crew on race day. Last year the scheduling of the race was so confused we were not ready.

Particulars:

• Length of Main Hull: 36 feet
• Weight of Main Hull: about 50 lbs
• Length of outriggers: 18 feet
• Weight of outriggers: about 25 lbs each
• Hull Construction: "Geodesic:" heat shrinkable Dacron over fir stringers on styrofoam frames.
• Deck Construction: Plywood
• Propulsion: 4 sliding seat oars, 1 canoe paddle
