Turn plywood into a beautiful sea kayak in 6 days

Sea kayaking is the sport of taking a small boat out on to the big ocean. You could buy an ordinary plastic kayak, or you could build your own which will be lighter, faster and more fun than buy.

Space still available to build your own S&G Night Heron

Dave Murray - Stitch and Glue Night Heron

Dave Murray - Stitch and Glue Night HeronTook the new S&G Heron out to play this weekend. Air and water low 70's. Mild surf. This kayak loves surf and rough water! Note that when I hybridized it I followed the S&G shape; enough of this rounding over decks! I built this kayak entirely from left over bits and pieces already in the shop. Appropriately named "Scrappy."
