Teaching Kayak Building

I spent the weekend up in Manchester, CT teaching the S&G Night Heron class at the Connecticut Valley School of Woodworking. The class will continue next weekend.

Took the new S&G Heron out to play this weekend. Air and water low 70's. Mild surf. This kayak loves surf and rough water! Note that when I hybridized it I followed the S&G shape; enough of this rounding over decks! I built this kayak entirely from left over bits and pieces already in the shop. Appropriately named "Scrappy."
